COST-SAVING & TARGETED

We ensure that downtimes are as short as possible

If a large component on your wind turbine breaks down, this inevitably means that the turbine will need to be shut down. Benefit from our logistics, the use of highly qualified teams, our comprehensive spare parts management and the on-site service teams that carry out the repairs. This is the only way to reduce turbine downtime and to carry out repairs in a cost-effective and professional manner.

Our main services include:

  • Condition-based maintenance / repair of the main component
  • Timely stockpiling of required components
  • Complete logistics for restoring turbine operation
  • Professional execution of all necessary repair work
  • Documentation of the measures for the continuation of the logbook

Full maintenance including large components ensures additional security

As part of our Full Maintenance Plus approach, we repair all damage to your wind turbine, regardless of its cause. This includes damage to large components, such as the rotor, as well as a write-off of the entire wind turbine. Even damage caused by external influences such as lightning, fire or hail is repaired within the scope of the full service contract.

To our contract options

Uptower repairs reduce downtime and costs

When modern, large turbines suffer damage, disassembling main components leads to time-consuming and costly crane and personnel deployments. For this reason, uptower repairs are becoming increasingly important. By expanding our skills and repair options, we can plan and carry out a range of repairs for you without the logistical expense of utilising a crane, and we can do so without requiring services from authorities or third-party providers.

We are already able to carry out the following work on the turbine:

  • Replacement of the generator-side bearing on wind turbines with rated outputs of up to 4 MW
  • Repairs for gearboxes, such as replacing bearings on the HSS (High Speed Shaft)
  • Bearing repairs on intermediate speed shaft and slow speed shaft (ISS and LSS)
  • Repairs to add-on parts
  • Repairs to yaw drives on 2.5-MW to 4-MW turbines

Ground-based winch system reduces costs

In particular, logistics and the use of large cranes for dismantling large components drive the costs upward. Our search for alternatives led us to develop a ground-based winch system (GBWS) that is already successfully being used.

The benefits at a glance:

  • Costs and logistics involved in using a large crane are not incurred
  • No expansion of access roads, crane sites or temporary rotor storage areas is required
  • Current design is suitable for hub heights of 145 m and blade lengths of up to 60 m. Gradual expansion of the design limits.
  • Can be carried out at wind speeds of up to 12 m/s
  • Suitable for conventional truck transport
  • There is no need to expand local infrastructure for large cranes

The financial advantage for you is obvious: This alternative, including the costs for preparation, setup, carrying out the work and dismantling, are significantly lower than performing the same work using a large crane.
