New contract form has flexible components
In contrast to conventional service contracts, the new contract type does not specify that maintenance activities are carried out solely by Deutsche Windtechnik. Instead, the aim is to enable the wind farm operator or a local service provider to carry out service activities in cooperation with Deutsche Windtechnik. For this purpose, the contract partner is provided with technical expertise, 24/7 remote monitoring, on-call support, qualification opportunities at our Training Center, spare parts and further resources. The client also receives guaranteed support from Deutsche Windtechnik's Technical Business Development Managers for the entire duration of the contract.
Clients can customise the contract to suit their individual requirements. Support is based either on active 24/7 remote data monitoring (RDT, fully stored at Deutsche Windtechnik) or passive remote data monitoring (data acquisition). The (remote) technical support that is based on this as well as access to the Deutsche Windtechnik Training Center are exclusive components of the framework agreement and are not available to third parties outside Deutsche Windtechnik under the terms of the contract. In addition, the client can arrange for on-site support as well as the supply of spare parts in cooperation with International Spare Parts Sales (ISPS) at fixed flat rates. This is carried out quickly and reliably by professionally determining the necessary components. The different services can be included as part of the contract in individual sub-areas (see graphic on the right).
Success is visible across a range of technologies
The MSA services are offered in English. It goes without saying that all project personnel involved can communicate fluently in English. Clients are already operating successfully in Finland, Belgium, Japan and thirteen other countries around the world with our cooperative service contract. The MSA model means that important wind farm data is always available on demand and decision-making processes are simplified, and this new approach has demonstrated that it helps clients to reduce wind farm operating costs and minimise downtime in the event of a technical problem or fault. Clients whose portfolios include multiple wind turbine technologies can receive multi-technology support from a single source through Deutsche Windtechnik's MSA.
