“Eurus Energy is excited about its new relationship with Deutsche Windtechnik and looks forward to the performance improvements that Deutsche Windtechnik will be bringing to Eurus Energy’s wind energy sites based on their commitment to continuous improvement, technical expertise and global experience,” says Butch Mederos, AVP of Operations for Eurus Energy.
The service agreement with Eurus Energy is put into practice on site by 21 engineers and technicians performing high-quality operations and maintenance, inventory management and troubleshooting work. The state of Oregon is a new addition to Deutsche Windtechnik’s operational footprint map. Entering the Northwest, Deutsche Windtechnik will be adding a Regional Service Center to implement the foundation of its current operations on the basis of the existing service strategy.
Deutsche Windtechnik’s MHI portfolio now increased to 808 MW, which is more than 50% of the MHI 1000As currently in operation in the United States. Another milestone for the US-based unit of Deutsche Windtechnik, following on from those achieved in 2020. Chris Stacy, US Director of Sales for Deutsche Windtechnik, said: “As the renewable energy industry continues to see tremendous growth, we experienced growth of its own in 2020 when awarded with nine sites totaling 1,172.5 MW in the US. The record shows that site performances are supreme, and the client surveys confirm the level of quality during the rapid growth. The acquisition of the Wind Services segment of Cooke Power Services in September 2021 added additional MHI expertise with experienced wind technicians and a long-term service agreement in Iowa worth 50 MW.” Deutsche Windtechnik now performs O&M services on five technologies totaling 1,768 MW in seven states.
