In the role of Project Manager, the primary responsibility involves orchestrating different facets of repower project implementation, such as planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and stakeholder engagement. This position demands a blend of technical proficiency in wind energy, adept project management abilities, and a comprehensive comprehension of renewable energy regulations and protocols. 
 
Are You Looking to:   

  • Play an active role in all aspects of a project, from project conceptualization and work planning to project execution. 

  • Provide project management and technical support for development and execution of wind energy repower projects. 

  • Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements. 

  • Create and maintain project schedules, identifying critical milestones and dependencies. 

  • Monitor project progress and implement adjustments as necessary to ensure on-time completion. 

Are You Ready to: 

  • Coordinate with internal teams, external contractors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals. 

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize resource utilization to maximize project efficiency. 

  • Proactively identify potential schedule risks and develop mitigation strategies to avoid project delays. 

  • Manage relationships with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely delivery of equipment and services. 

  • Monitor compliance with environmental regulations, safety standards, and prevailing wage/apprenticeship requirements throughout project execution. 

  • Communicate project status, milestones, and risks effectively to stakeholders, addressing any concerns or inquiries promptly, including preparation of progress reports. 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to foster collaboration and support for project objectives. 

What You’ll Need: 

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, renewable energy, project management, or related field. (Preferred)  

  • Valid Driver's License  

  • Proven experience managing large-scale wind energy projects, including repowering initiatives. 

  • In-depth knowledge of wind energy technology, systems, and industry trends including the Inflation Reduction Act. 

  • Strong project management skills, with proficiency in project planning, scheduling, and budgeting. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders. 

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and permitting processes related to renewable energy projects. 

  • Certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Energy Manager (CEM) are a plus. 

  • Ability to travel to project sites and work in diverse environments as needed.  
    (Up to 50% during project execution) 

  • Must be able to pass a physical exam and drug/alcohol screening. 

  • The employee must be capable of lifting and/or moving up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus because of potential work in close confines. 

  • Employees must be physically fit enough to freely climb 300 ft multiple times a day while wearing 25+ lbs. of climbing gear and work in extreme weather conditions. 

  • Must be capable of rescuing team mates anywhere in tower in the event of emergency. 

  • We care about the safety and wellbeing of every one of our employees. To help ensure their safety, any employees climbing a wind turbine must use a Personal Fall Arrest System, and may not exceed the system’s maximum weight capacity of 309 lbs. This weight must include the individual, their tooling, uniform, and personal protective equipment. Based on these safety requirements and the standard weight of equipment, employees who climb wind turbines may not exceed a maximum personal body weight of 260 lbs.
