New dry dock lifting platform technology makes repairs possible all year round

As already reported in the 02/2020 issue of luftpost, the rotor blade experts at Deutsche Windtechnik kicked off the year with new Terra lifting platform technology. The completely enclosed work platform makes it possible to work on an attached rotor blade largely independently of the weather. This significantly extends the time of year during which it is possible to work on rotor blades. Weather-related downtimes during periods of bad weather can be significantly reduced.

The mobile work platform was still in the test phase during the first half of the year, but the first project with managing director Hans-Gustav Hagge of the Hemme West wind farm (13 x Enercon E70) has now been completed successfully. "At our wind farm, the rotor blade work was due to take place soon. Our cooperation has been very good in the past, and our trust in Deutsche Windtechnik continues to be rewarded. The work was done more quickly than expected and was more cost-effective. This was a win for everyone," said Hans-Gustav Hagge, Managing Director of the Hemme West wind farm.
