WHO WE ARE

Roots in Europe, globally active

Our name gives it away: Our company had its beginnings in Germany. We were there at the beginning of the 21st century, together with the entire German wind industry, to make wind energy competitive and make the energy transition a reality. To this day, our foundation gives us a high degree of stability, quality, security and orientation, and this benefits the entire company. It also gives us a strong standing in international service markets.

Since the first full UK maintenance contract for an onshore wind farm in 2015, Deutsche Windtechnik has become an important and ever-growing part of the UK’s renewable energy market. Our ability to adapt to constant change and market demands enables us to offer solutions tailored to our customer needs and keep pace with the demand. That is why we decided in 2021 to have a second team of experts focusing on the offshore wind sector after the Government announced to boost renewable energies in UK. With headquarters in Edinburgh (onshore) and Lowestoft (offshore) and over 800 wind turbines under service contract across the UK, our clear focus remains on safety, quality, long term maintenance and additional services.

Over the last 5 years we’ve doubled our employee numbers, extended our multibrand technology expertise as well as geographical expansion and we’ve opened a new, larger warehouse facility in Livingston to complement our local service centres around the UK. Over the next few years we see clear potential for the significant growth to continue onshore and offshore, through more long term contract as well as additional service within the UK, expansion into Ireland and supporting our offshore businesses around the world.
