Apprenticeship scheme of Deutsche Windtechnik

On my first day, I immediately received a warm welcome. The first few days were very exciting because I got to know a lot of different people. What I particularly like about my vocational training is that we are sent to work in many departments, enabling us to get a good overview. I chose the company because I find wind energy very exciting.

I like it very much at Deutsche Windtechnik, I was received in a very friendly manner and felt welcome from the start. I chose the vocational training because of the wide range of work areas and I also really like the variety of tasks. What I really appreciate about Deutsche Windtechnik is the flat hierarchy and the friendly, informal tone. During the vocational training you get to know every department. This gives you a very good overview of the company and the responsibilities that each department handles.

Deciding to work for Deutsche Windtechnik was easy because I had heard many positive things about the company, and these things were confirmed during the interview and my initial time at the company. What I like about the vocational training is that we are sent to work in each individual department and get to know everything and everyone. There is a wide range of tasks and you can ask anyone for help if you have questions. It's fun to come to work every day and know that something new is waiting for me. 

Deutsche Windtechnik offers a wide range of vocational training in the field of wind energy, beginning with the basics and progressing to a deeper understanding of the turbines. Electrical engineering and mechanics combined in one job is very exciting. I personally enjoy the vocational training very much because the job is versatile and unusual, and I can deepen my knowledge and learn a lot.

The vocational training offers a perfect mix of applied practice and theoretical lessons. The knowledge and skills gained at the company and from vocational school are directly applicable in practice on turbines in the field. The vocational training at Deutsche Windtechnik is a real plus for anyone who is interested in technology. If I were to begin vocational training again, it would definitely be with Deutsche Windtechnik.

Doing vocational training at Deutsche Windtechnik is the right decision because the training encompasses a diverse range of tasks and skills, and you feel like you belong to the group from the start. In addition, Deutsche Windtechnik is the only company that offers a complete vocational training programme in the offshore sector. This is definitely something special and exciting because you get to know a completely different world of work offshore.

I decided for Deutsche Windtechnik because of the good conditions: the first year of the vocational training taking place at the Viöl Training Center, the overall flat hierarchies at the company and the fact that Deutsche Windtechnik is active in Germany as well as globally. As someone who loves technology, the functionality and dimensions of the different turbines amaze me! What I like best, however, is that you work flexibly on different types of wind turbines. It also allows me to make my own small contribution to the coming energy transition.

During the practical phases I have a chance to work in all departments of Deutsche Windtechnik. I have been welcomed in a very friendly manner in every department so far and every workmate has always been helpful. Nevertheless, the first few weeks were very exciting – new workmates, new tasks and new systems, all in addition to my studies. The dual study course gives you the opportunity to put the theoretical knowledge you have gained directly into practice. A high degree of independent work, time management and studying is a must! Deutsche Windtechnik was recommended to me by former workmates and friends, so I really wanted to do my dual studies there.
