We see great opportunities for well-qualified personnel in the Polish labour market." The new unit is currently focusing on putting together a local offshore team and providing consulting services. "We are already active in the Polish consulting business area and we will continue to build upon that. We are expecting rapid development over the coming years," Wojciech Łużniak said. Active in the international offshore wind energy business for more than a decade
The plans for expanding wind energy in Poland have been ramped up significantly in recent years. Offshore wind energy is planned to provide 5.9 GW by 2030, and by 2040, that amount will increase to 18 GW. Onshore wind is expected to deliver 14 GW by 2030 and 20 GW by 2040 (Source: PWEA website). Poland has now approved several sections of its exclusive economic zone for the development of offshore wind farms.
