Since Deutsche Windtechnik Inc.’s establishment, it has created a strong reputation among wind farm owners starting off with the first O&M contract back in 2019, surpassing the one GW mark of wind capacity to the service portfolio in 2020, and after acquiring the former Cooke Power’s wind operations and maintenance segment, grown an industry-leading size of travel technicians in the independent service market. Within a short period, Deutsche Windtechnik was entrusted with multiple technologies and scope of work by US wind farm owners. Today, the unit has long-term service agreements for Siemens, Vestas, Mitsubishi, and GE in its portfolio, being the leading service provider to service Mitsubishi wind turbines in the US Market.
Now, with the passing of the national Inflation Reduction Act, the general growth of the renewable energy sector is set in stone. Deutsche Windtechnik Inc. will play an active role in the energy transition to answer to the increasing demand for technical knowledge and skilled personnel short-term, and for decades to come.
Melf Lorenzen, CEO of Deutsche Windtechnik Inc. says the success of its entity is based on the excellent teamwork of its 215 employees: “Five years is only the introduction of our story, but growing from a small startup to becoming the industry’s most powerful service provider to wind farm owners in a very short time is a great accomplishment by our team and worth celebrating as we continue to write our story. The success of our organization is based on the team’s hard work, dedication, incredible talent, and contagious passion they bring to work every single day. Beyond the talented people we brought together, this success story also reflects the importance of our valuable clients who have given us the opportunity to prove our capabilities by entrusting us with their assets. I am truly grateful for the partnerships we have built thus far.”
The day will be celebrated by inviting the entire team across the nation for a joint event and by letting the day be a prime opportunity to continue giving back to the local communities in which we operate. Throughout the week, the teams will volunteer locally, for example by packing and distributing food for school children or helping to re-paint the local town hall.
