Role Clarification

You will work closely with all departments in the UK and other group companies throughout Europe to ensure we are providing a level of service expected from a market leader. Although the majority of your time will be spent working in the UK you may be expected to spend some periods working with colleagues in Germany and in other Deutsche Windtechnik group countries. Due to regular travel this role does require a high degree of flexibility.

Duties and responsibilities

We are looking for an Offshore Technician that is responsible for the following

  • Carrying out full range of offshore turbine services including servicing, troubleshooting and major component exchange projects as per Deutsche Windtechnik Instructions
  • Completion of all relevant paperwork, including work order cards, checklists, AWPs etc.
  • Take ownership of your work area, ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed
  • Knowledge of WTSRs and held authorised technician appointments.
  • Experience with a variety of manufacturers and technologies.
  • Support of preventative and corrective maintenance and troubleshooting on multiple technologies onshore during winter period.
  • Ensure that all relevant tooling and equipment is certified and ready for use.
  • Comply with customer site rules.
  • Report all incidents and occurrences as per Deutsche Windtechnik company Health and Safety policy.
  • Communicate effectively to clients and all levels of the business.
  • Must be willing to travel regularly.

Dein Profil


As a minimum, the candidate should have or be working towards:

  • Mid-level electrical and/or mechanical education, at least HNC/HND, NVQ Level 3 in an engineering discipline or time served apprenticeship
  • Ideally three years of hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical experience within the offshore wind industry.
  • Wind turbine experiences is essential for this role
  • Valid driving licence & passport

Candidates will preferably have:

  • Previous turbine experience in Siemens / Vestas technology
  • Valid health and safety certificates (GWOs, offshore medical etc.)
  • IT proficient on MS Suite

Other essentials you need to have:–

  • Pass a pre-employment medical and fitness test before a formal offer of employment is confirmed.
