Deutsche Windtechnik is Germany’s largest Independent Service Provider, offering a comprehensive service package for Wind Turbine Generators (WTG) from one single source.

Position Title:  Onboarding Specialist

Location: Houston HQ or Remote

Reports To: Recruiting Manager

SCHEDULE: Working hours are 8am – 5:00pm, Monday through Friday with possibly working outside working hours as needed

· You have an excellent grasp of English, and can communicate clearly with team members and external candidates

· You bring a strong work ethic and a hands-on approach to new challenges

· You bring an understanding of the wind energy market

· You have experience managing a recruiting process- and are comfortable working with physical, drug and background screening vendors, etc. as well as understanding background check results, drug test results and physical results. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, bend and sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The employee must be capable of lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds. 

DESCRIPTION OF TASKS:

· Communicate regularly with stakeholders across the company to identify and understand job openings and priority for fulfilment

· Accurately represent the company to newly hired candidates; stay informed of policy or benefits changes which may impact the details of a job offer

· Support the internal coordination of onboarding new candidates with various departments 

· Extend offers and support with initiating post-offer data gathering as needed, such as: pre-hire forms, background checks, drug testing, physicals, etc. 

· Ensure close regular communication with other HR team members, Operations Coordinators and Training Coordinator to ensure successful transfer of necessary information for employee onboarding

· Work with training team to ensure that certifications are transferred and up to date for accurate employee onboarding 

· Ensure new employees have correct travel arrangements for their specific onboarding date

· Oversee company random drug screening protocols and fulfilment of the program by quarter

· Oversee the onboarding of new employees and their driving records, ensuring they are able to maintain company vehicle requirements

· Maintain documentation and filing of employee records while onboarding them 

· Endure background, drug test and physical documentation is in compliance with our standards for hiring

· Communicate with new employees about expectations, start date and other details of the onboarding, providing them a positive onboarding experience

· Other tasks as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of work experience preferred

· Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a similar position in the US

Home office environment, occasionally Houston HQ or external recruiting events
