Position Title: IT Support Specialist

Location: Humble, TX

Reports To: Engineering   Manager

Typically 8am – 5pm Central, Monday through Friday. Usually 40 hours per week with a daily 60 minute lunch break unless other arrangements have been agreed to by the employer and the employee. 


The IT Support Specialist will provide analytical, technical, and administrative support to internal end users across North American sites. They will also be primary contact for all incoming calls, email requests, and helpdesk tickets for technical support. Interaction between all teams and departments- as well as developing procedures and solutions for all technical levels of our end users. Works with PC network software to configure, test, diagnose and correct network configurations. Training internal employees on various basic Windows operating system tools and software.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, bend and sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The employee must be capable of lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.


  • Performs hardware setup      and installation of applications for new and existing personnel
  • General IT support      including phones, PCs, and software
  • Provides technical support      for our North American operations for internal end users on a variety of      hardware and software problems
  • Works with the helpdesk      system by offering support or collecting data
  • Works with network      administration to diagnose and troubleshoot network outages, maintain      network continuity
  • Assists staff with the      operation of application software, including but not limited to: Word      processing, spreadsheet, presentation and communication software, web      applications and anti-virus 
  • Attends and participates      in departmental meetings and committees to discuss IT-related issues, and      contributes to departmental projects
  • Works with the global IT      Team and external service contractors as needed to research and recommend      hardware and software solutions
  • Works with the ticket      system (JIRA) and solves end user requests using remote access software
  • Serves as IT contact      person for the hotline in case of IT issues, like network problems or      server problems
  • Further duties as assigned


  • High school graduate or      equivalent with 1 year of related experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft      operating systems
  • Knowledge of Networking –      LAN, WAN, VoIP and cabling
  • Basic knowledge of      computer hardware
  • Office 365 administration
  • Windows 10 installation/configuration      via deployment software 
  • Ability to travel on      occasion


  • Effective organizational      skills and attention to detail
  • Good time management      skills
  • Experience working both      independently, and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is      essential
  • Ability to effectively      prioritize and execute tasks
  • Proven analytical and      problem-solving abilities
