Are you ready to start a career in the wind industry as a Document and Technical Writing Specialist?
The Document and Technical Writing Specialist is responsible for ensuring that the company’s technical and administrative documentation is generated, revised, and maintained in an efficient and professional manner and compliant with the company’s policies. This position greatly supports the Business Process and Application Manager in creating and adjusting process maps for the company. This Team is the focal point for all document and process generation and revision for the US. This role also provides general support to other elements within the organization as required, providing important administrative support to a diverse internal customer base.
Are You Looking to:
Conveying visually polished process artifacts using Visio, ensuring both high quality and consistency?
Conducting thorough analysis and offering insights to identify issues, along with making informed recommendations?
Developing and sustaining records and supporting documents, maintaining clear version control and adhering to governance standards?
Responding promptly to ad hoc requests with a high level of responsiveness?
Distilling technical information into understandable content for the average user?
Creating technical work instructions, corporate standards, procedures, and guidelines applicable to all organizational levels?
Capable of working independently and following a structured approach?
Willing and able to climb and work in all areas of a wind turbine (this is a plus but not required)?
Are You Ready to:
Collaborating within a team to design, develop, and improve process maps for crucial workflows using MS Visio.
Contributing to team efforts for all document generation and revision activities at DWT Inc (US).
Collaborating with the team to create technical documentation within the Content Management System (CMS) DocuGlobe.
Managing DWT Inc.'s document and record databases, including DocuGlobe, SharePoint, Lmobile, and ERP.
Creating forms in the Field Management Service Application (L-mobile).
Participating in the establishment of the company's document management policies to ensure compliant and secure access to both electronic and physical records.
Administering documents and system access to uphold the security of the system and the integrity of the company's master documents.
Developing training modules related to document and records management programs and assisting in employee training.
What You’ll Need:
Proficiency in technical writing acquired through practical experience and/or formal training.
A bachelor's degree with a specialization in technical communication, journalism, or writing, or a blend of five years of education, expertise, and hands-on experience in document generation and control programs.
Proficient understanding of MS Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
Familiarity with Document Management System (DMS) software, specifically SharePoint.
