New service stations in Belgium improve efficiency and strengthen the local supply chain

Building a stronger presence in Waregem and Andenne

We are dedicated to providing fast, efficient, and locally-focused wind turbine maintenance – keeping downtime low and output high. With two new service stations in Belgium, we are increasing efficiency and regional support for wind farms.

At Deutsche Windtechnik, we are continuously evolving, striving to improve and build even closer relationships with our customers. In Belgium, we’re currently optimising our local supply chain and creating a local footprint close to our customers to ensure faster response times and improved spare parts availability. We are focusing our efforts on two regions – western and eastern Belgium – each with its own dedicated service station.

Strategic locations: Waregem and Andenne

We are building a strong local infrastructure to improve service quality and response times. In 2025, we opened a service station in Waregem, ensuring key parts and materials are now available near our customers’ turbines in western Belgium.

Another station opens in April 2026 in Andenne, covering customers’ assets in eastern Belgium. The contract is signed, and construction is underway.

Efficient logistics: MRP system keeps materials available close-by

Our new warehouse in Yerseke, Netherlands use an integrated Material Requirement Planning (MRP) system. This ensures that critical spare parts are always available when needed.

Adriaan Vandenbrande, our Head of Operations, explains the wider impact:

“By proactively stocking turbine-specific components locally in Waregem – and soon in Andenne – we secure long-lead items, reduce response times, and accelerate repair cycles. This approach is designed to maximize turbine availability and ensure reliable operational performance across our customers’ portfolios.”

We supply materials and components from our central warehouse in Germany. With over 20,000 square meters of storage space and more than 18,000 different parts in stock, we can coordinate reliable parts distribution across our entire warehouse network.

What does this mean for our customers?

These changes improve our service and enhance customers’ experience with Deutsche Windtechnik. Creating regions and dedicated stations driven by MRP systems cuts technician travel and boosts material availability.

Adriaan Vandenbrande shares, “For example, a customer operating several wind turbines near Waregem can expect faster troubleshooting and repairs, thanks to locally stored parts and region-based service teams”.
