First steps: Increasing the regional foothold
Early in 2026, Deutsche Windtechnik began introducing significant changes in the regional setup of the Dutch and Belgian onshore operations. New service stations were set up in Belgium, bringing dedicated service teams and parts much closer to our customers’ turbines, accelerating repair cycles and reducing response times. Luhan Du Preez and Audric Nizet now serve as dedicated Operations Managers, ensuring local expertise and a deep understanding of the sites and their assets.
On the offshore side, Deutsche Windtechnik successfully took over full-service maintenance at the Prinses Amalia offshore wind park. Operations Manager Jerry Romberg brings extensive offshore experience and oversees day-to-day activities at sea.
Next step: separating onshore and offshore operations
The two milestones are introducing dedicated leadership and separating the onshore and offshore businesses. The first has just been accomplished:
In August, Rinze Venderbosch took over onshore activities as Country Manager in the Netherlands and Belgium. On Septemer 1st, Niels Noordeloos returned to Deutsche Windtechnik as Managing Director, taking responsibility for the strategic and operational direction of the offshore business in the Netherlands.
By clearly separating onshore and offshore responsibilities, each can focus more strongly on their own business area, ensuring clearer accountability and more effective support for customers. In the near future, the legal separation of businesses will follow.
Onshore in the Netherlands and Belgium: focusing on quality, safety and proximity
For Rinze Venderbosch, onshore customers in the Netherlands and Belgium have clear expectations: they want work done safely, reliably and to a high standard. At the same time, customers expect a service partner who understands the market and is proactively looking for the right solutions to their challenges. “Deutsche Windtechnik’s core strengths are our broad capabilities and depth of expertise,” Rinze said. “Different technical disciplines and services come together under one roof, combining everything a customer needs.”
Operationally, Rinze wants to make sure that onshore activities are organised as efficiently as possible and close to where customers and turbines are located. “It is not only about what happens in the field, but also about how planning, coordination, and support are set up in the back office. This is where good preparation, clear communication, and realistic planning can make a tangible difference for customers in their day-to-day operations.”
Cooperation between the Netherlands and Belgium is also important to him. The teams in both countries run their own operations, but Rinze sees potential in maintaining the close cooperation, sharing experience and supporting each other where it benefits customers. “From a commercial perspective, I intend to shape partnerships as true win-win situations, where Deutsche Windtechnik helps customers address their challenges with excellent performance to build lasting relationships.”
Offshore in the Netherlands: full-service expertise and long-term partnerships
Niels Noordeloos returns to Deutsche Windtechnik with a strong connection to the company and fresh experience from the offshore sector.
During his previous time with Deutsche Windtechnik, he developed a deep understanding of the organisation and built relationships with many of its people. Now, he brings additional perspectives from his time outside the company.
"I am very pleased to return to Deutsche Windtechnik and take responsibility for such a strong offshore organisation,” says Niels. “A lot has been achieved in recent years, and I see a great opportunity to build on those foundations, strengthen our customer relationships and further develop the business together with the team.”
From Niels’ perspective, offshore customers in the Netherlands benefit most from a service partner who combines technical expertise, practical experience and reliability with a broad service portfolio. In his opinion, Deutsche Windtechnik is in a unique and equally strong position:
“As a full-service provider, we are able to look at an offshore wind farm as a whole, rather than focusing on individual tasks only. A good example is a complex operation such as Major Component Replacements, where preparation, planning, safety and execution must fit together seamlessly. Having a partner who can manage these processes end-to-end creates real value for operators, for example, by improving availability, reducing downtime, and managing risks in a structured way.”
Niels also places great importance on how cooperation with customers is shaped. For him, strong long-term partnerships are based on trust, transparency and a shared commitment to improvement. Open conversations, including when things do not go as planned, and a proactive approach to challenges are central elements. His ambition is that customers see Deutsche Windtechnik as a partner they can rely on in both day-to-day operations and demanding situations.
One direction: aligned perspectives for onshore and offshore
Although Rinze and Niels are responsible for different parts of the business, they share the same overall direction: creating a clear, customer-focused setup for onshore and offshore in the Netherlands and Belgium.
They plan to work closely together, exchange views regularly and align and cooperate where onshore and offshore topics overlap. By combining their different perspectives and experiences, Rinze and Niels want to ensure that customers in the Netherlands and Belgium experience Deutsche Windtechnik as one organisation with a clear structure, focused expertise and dedicated contacts who understand their specific needs.
