In 2015, Deutsche Windtechnik entered the UK market and now has over 640 WTG’s/700MW under Service & Maintenance contracts, our aim being to expand further into both onshore and offshore markets. Deutsche Windtechnik Ltd‘s head office is located in Edinburgh.

You will work closely with all departments in the UK and other group companies to ensure we are providing a level of service expected from a market leader. Although the majority of your time will be spent working in the UK you may be expected to spend some periods working with colleagues in Germany and in other Deutsche Windtechnik group countries.

Your tasks

The Quality Advisor is a key member of the UK organisation ensuring that all projects and processes are in line with statutory obligations and meet customer and Deutsche Windtechnik Standards. The role will standardise and strengthen the company's integrated quality, environmental and health & safety approach across the UK organisation and all project sites in the UK and will contribute to high the performance culture throughout the Deutsche Windtechnik group.




Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Develop site critical QMS documentation in order to perform all works on site
  • Conduct deviation and non-conformance investigation and work with the Head of QHSE to prepare comprehensive recommendations for corrective and preventive actions
  • Develop and facilitate QHSE risk assessments;
  • Coordinate and execute QHSE inspections and internal, sub-contractor, and third-party audits as agreed in the Business Audit Schedule
  • Conduct investigations, analysis and report findings for the SLT:
    1. Non-conformity reports and root cause analysis
    2. Incidents, near misses, and damages
    3. Key performance indicators (KPI)
    4. Support in maintaining NPS feedback
  • Assist the QHSE team members to develop and monitor QMS performance, progress, preventive and corrective action plans.
  • Provide advice and support to the site teams on QMS issues;
  • Prepare, update and track QMS statistical data as required
  • Keep up to date with all current business practises and facilitate continuous improvement plans
  • Assist the QHSE team in maintain ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and Achilles certifications
  • Conduct and coordinate regular on-site inspections, safe work practices and compliance with UK / ROI legislation, customer & Industry standards
  • Work with Management to satisfy the needs of our customers within the bonds of contractual compliance.
  • Review company QHSE processes and procedures as required following event, audit, non-conformance etc investigation.

Your profile


  • Experience in working with Quality, Engineering, Dispersed Maintenance and Services, management systems development, project management in the wind industry or heavy engineering, power generation
  • Minimum NVQ Level 5 or equivalent in Quality Management.
  • 9001 Lead Auditor Qualification
  • Use data processing and document management system.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent in, Health & Safety or Environment is desirable
