Project Manager (m/f) Offshore Wind Turbines

We do everything possible to keep the wind turbines up and running and improve their performance, for the long term. In 2015, Deutsche Windtechnik entered the UK market and now has well over 600 WTG’s/680MW under Service & Maintenance contracts, our aim being to expand further into both onshore and offshore markets. Deutsche Windtechnik Ltd‘s head office is located in Edinburgh.

You will work closely with all departments in the UK and other group companies to ensure we are providing a level of service expected from a market leader. Although the majority of your time will be spent working in the UK you may be expected to spend some periods working with colleagues in Germany and in other Deutsche Windtechnik group countries.


Your tasks

Duties and responsibilities

An opportunity to join a newly formed division within Deutsche Windtechnik, Offshore UK. This is an exciting and varied role that will challenge and reward the right candidate in equal measure.

A background in offshore turbine maintenance and servicing, coupled with experience in managing large projects is essential. Experience with UK offshore regulations (WTSR, CDM etc) is also highly desirable.

  • Ensure all projects and tenders are delivered safely, on time, within scope, within budget and to the required quality, and in accordance with Client and Company requirements.
  • Ensure that all operations are executed safely, efficiently and are high in quality.
  • Ensure timely investigation and closure of any action related to incidents / accidents occurring on projects.
  • Ensuring all Risks, Incidents and disputes are minimized.
  • Commercial and financial budget management and programme management to ensure delivery programme is maintained.
  •  Ensure that all project personnel receive an appropriate orientation to the organisation and the project. Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholder including appropriate employees in the organisation on the progress of the project.

  • The role requires excellent reporting and communications skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team, seeking technical input from other disciplines to deliver carefully considered solutions to produce high quality work.
