Location: Humble, TX

Reports To: Director of Finance

SCHEDULE:  
This role is full-time, typically between the hours of 8am – 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. Usually 40 hours/week with 30 minutes - 1 hour lunch break (unpaid), unless other arrangements have been agreed to by the employer and the employee.

JOB SUMMARY:

The A/P Clerk role is primarily responsible for performing full cycle Accounts Payable for the organization. This typically entails processing vendor invoices for payment. Further tasks may include hands-on review of journal entries and reconciliation preparation, and driving business innovation and improvement. This includes monitoring, coordinating and facilitating activities for Deutsche Windtechnik Accounting, internal analysis and operational metrics, as well as other duties as necessary to support the company.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, bend and sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The employee must be capable of lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.  

DESCRIPTION OF TASKS:

· Collect, track and distribute incoming vendor invoices

· Manage, coordinate, and monitor daily accounts payable operation, reviewing purchase orders, and shipment receipt records followed by coding and processing invoices

· Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors 

· Review and reconcile invoice and accounts discrepancies

· Prepare and process national and international vendor payments through EFT ACH/Wire transfers

· Review and code payroll reports for processing on a biweekly basis

· Audit and process credit card bills on a monthly basis

· Manage company credit card program, maintaining employee accounts, support all users with any arising card payment issues

· Ensure all processed data is applied correctly to cost centers and projects for cost controlling

· Analyze, develop and modify work flow procedures and policies, and play a key role in introducing new accounting systems and interfaces

· Keep sensitive information confidential

· Collaborate with accounting team to support various accounting projects and activities 

· Provide assistance in quarterly and annual audits and reports

· Support supervisory and executive staff by performing any assigned accounting and clerical tasks

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

· Advance knowledge of MS Office suite, expert level of Excel spreadsheets

· Minimum of 2 years Accounting experience

· Team player attitude, willing to work flexible hours as needed

· Thrives in a fast moving environment

· Competency with QuickBooks or related ERP system strongly preferred

· High school diploma and college degree in the area of Finance or Accounting 

· Complete and comprehensive understanding of accounting practices and procedures

· Polite and professional demeanor when working with other companies, as well as consumers and coworkers

· Strong attention to detail

EQUIPMENT, MACHINES, TOOLS USED:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, (word, excel, power point, etc.) and operation of office equipment (computers, tablets, cell phone, copier, etc.)

DESCRIPTION OF WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Duties are performed in a climate-controlled office environment. Optionally, employee may be invited to engage in travel by car to site, and in worksite visit(s) or vendor meetings.
