Deutsche Windtechnik is awarded a full service contract for Enercon turbines in Poland

Deutsche Windtechnik's Polish unit has added 21 Enercon E82 turbines to its service
portfolio. The Kiesilice wind farm in the northern part of the Warmian-Masurian region will receive service starting in January
2021 for a period of 20 years as part of a full service contract with Equitix,
a UK-based wind farm operator. The new contract will once
again increase the technical expertise of Deutsche Windtechnik in Poland, making its
market position even stronger.

The addition of the wind turbines to Deutsche Windtechnik Sp. z o. o.'s service portfolio increases the capacity that it has under service contract by 42 MW to 200 MW total. This latest contract strengthens the positive development of the independent service provider in Poland. As a consequence of the contract that it signed with Equitix, Deutsche Windtechnik is planning to open a new service centre near the wind farm to ensure fast response times and state-of-the-art service. The personnel was specially hired for this project.

Significant growth for the company in Poland

Wojciech Luzniak, Country Manager of Deutsche Windtechnik in Poland, said: "We are very happy that we signed this contract. We our proud that our hard work has paid off, and we are grateful for the dedication of our team as well as the trust that our customer has placed in us. This success shows that we live up to our claim to offer the customer the best possible solution while at the same time maintaining our flexibility. "

Exceptionally long period of operation

The turbines at the wind farm have already been generating electricity for several years. Polish regulations, however, allow wind farm operators to produce energy for longer than 20 years, which is the standard period of time worldwide. Wind turbines that successfully pass tests and inspections on a regular basis can be active in this Central European country for up to 30 years, and this has resulted in Deutsche Windtechnik Sp. z o. o. being awarded a long-term service contract with a term of 20 years.
