An opportunity to join a newly formed division within Deutsche Windtechnik Offshore Limited. This is an exciting and varied training role that will challenge and reward the right candidate in equal measure.

The Role

To provide technical training of Deutsche Windtechnik employees with focus on Siemens turbine technology to our Offshore Wind Turbine Technicians. This would take place at different locations throughout the UK, our training center in Viöl, Germany and remotely/online.

Your profile

Minimum Qualifications

  • Higher Education in electrical engineering discipline.
  • OEM or equivalent technical training on the SWP G2/G4 platform

Minimum Competencies

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbal/presentation and in writing
  • Computer literate with well-developed IT skills across the Microsoft suite and a practical understanding of data entry and reporting applications.
  • Ability to work stand-alone while a positive contributor to the wider team
  • Motivated to achieve the highest standards of performance and customer support
  • Maintaining a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
  • Solutions based with strong planning, organising and numeric skills, and an excellent attention to detail.
  • Accustomed to working effectively in a fast-paced environment, flexible and can adapt to changing workloads and priorities, where high standards are not compromised under pressure

Desirable Qualifications / Competencies

  • Minimum 3 years professional experience working as a turbine technician or in the industry

QHSE

  • In partnership with the HSE department, ensure the continuous improvement of safety and environmental performance and compliance to all laws, regulations and industry standards / codes  
  • Reports all incidents or breaches of policy or regulations to the line manager
  • Commitment to proactive intervention where an unsafe act or condition is observed
  • Adherence to Deutsche Windtechnik Offshore Ltd.’s integrated management system ensuring document control and improvements to key processes is maintained

 

Your tasks

Duties and responsibilities

  • Evaluation/analysis of current training courses provided
  • Planning, conception, implementation, documentation and evaluation of technical basic and specialist training courses
  • Training in theory and practice in our state-of-the-art training center
  • Development of long-term, goal-oriented relationships with the relevant customer groups
  • Support in the creation of training plans and their implementation
  • Implementation and evaluation of internal examinations and learning status checks
  • Creation of Training Materials and Presentations 
  • Undertake offsite training and assessment assignments both onshore and offshore as required
  • Ensure all aspects of offsite training and assessment assignments are fully checked and completed
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current Health and Safety legislation and procedures
